GRIEF SUPPORT
*Compassionately aims to help those who have already experienced a death or live loss through personal support, group support and mental health coaching. Julie Kay strongly believes this will also reduce opioid overdose deaths.*
Support Coaching- Julie Kay is your Guide of Personal Support (GPS) to experience better Mental Health and to learn how to keep moving forward on your Grief and Loss Journey to be able to Cope, Hope and Heal, resulting in a more manageable and peaceful life.
Support Groups- Julie Kay is very passionate about Grief support groups being readily available in our communities so that you know you are not alone and get the help you need. She leads a group weekly in New Port Richey, Florida (the Tampa Bay area). She will also help launch the beginning of new groups.
Speeches on Grief Support- Julie Kay shares her own overcoming story and how she got through her various losses to become a "Grief Helper," so you can learn to thrive through it all. She informs on why it is so important to process your grief to keep you from getting STUCK.
AWARENESS
The opioid crisis is a complex and devastating issue that has had a significant impact on individuals, families, and communities worldwide---thus, we can accurately call it an epidemic.
Julie Kay strongly believes awareness and education are critical in combating the Opioid Crisis as it's evident they play a key role in helping to prevent substance and opioid misuse, abuse, addiction, overdoses, and overdose deaths.
Julie Kay educates and brings attention to the following:
The magnitude of the Opioid Crisis through statistics, the dangers of Fentanyl, the benefit of Narcan to help save lives, the crucial need for Mental Health, and how to practically battle this epidemic through her G.A.P. approach.
PREVENTION
Through education we empower individuals with the current information they need to encourage them not to use substances moving more people to take steps toward life, success and fulfillment.
Therefore, the goal is to reduce the prevalence of the opioid crisis and improve the health and well-being of our communities.
The two presentations under this part of the mission are:
1) Preventative speech geared for youth and young adults.
2) Preventative speech geared for parents and educators.
